The best word I've heard to describe Maps & Atlases is bouncy. Their wildly technical instrumentals weave seamlessly into Dave Davison's warm, folky recollections and really bring their music to life.

I initially overlooked this one since (the first half of) the opening track doesn't jive with me. However, overlooking that, it's probably my favorite TTNG album! A bit more varied and with higher highs (in my opinion) than Disappointment Island but more matured than Animals. thecombinatorax

patrats changed my life, what was possibly the craziest coincidence was that i started working at chuckecheeses when it came out, i was a living and breathing patagonian rat. from the ritualistic opening of so occult/kelly to the decomposition of all life in party with gina, the entire album is a gift of mystery and wonder that leaves the listener searching for hidden clues within the melodies. what is also beautiful is the introduction of mr John Clardy on this album, which gives new life and p gdiolosa
